White Lilly Bridal — Exhibition & Window Installation Design

Commissioned by White Lilly Bridal, the project involved the design and fabrication of a large-scale paper installation for both an exhibition environment and a subsequent retail window display.

The objective was to create a striking visual backdrop that complemented the elegance and craftsmanship of the bridal collection while attracting attention in both exhibition and retail contexts.

Inspired by the symbolism of transformation, lightness, and movement, the installation explored the butterfly as both an aesthetic and narrative device.

Thousands of paper butterflies were arranged within a layered spatial system designed to create depth, perspective, and shadow. The installation functioned as a cloud-like landscape that surrounded the garments without competing with them, enhancing the sense of elegance and weightlessness associated with bridal wear.

A bespoke multi-layered paper structure was developed as the foundation for the installation.

Drawing inspiration from topographical contour mapping, a series of layered paper planes were constructed to create varying depths across the surface of the display. This framework allowed individual butterflies to be positioned at different distances from the wall, generating subtle shifts in light, shadow, and perspective.

The resulting environment balanced spectacle with restraint, allowing the dresses to remain the focal point while becoming part of a larger visual narrative. The reusable installation system also demonstrated how temporary exhibition design can be adapted into long-term retail storytelling, maximizing both visual impact and material longevity.
