Nataniël — Cathedral Campaign Prop Design
Created for Nataniël's Cathedral campaign and live performance production, the project involved the design and fabrication of a series of sculptural paper props developed for promotional imagery, visual storytelling, and campaign rollout materials.
The work formed part of the visual identity surrounding Cathedral, a theatrical production exploring themes of devotion, spectacle, identity, beauty, and humanity's relationship with its own creations. The brief required a collection of striking symbolic objects capable of translating the atmosphere of the production into singular photographic moments.
Drawing from gothic architecture, religious iconography, ceremonial dress, and mechanical ornamentation, the project explored the tension between the sacred and the constructed. Architectural cathedral forms became wearable objects, transforming the body into a site of symbolism and performance. Simultaneously, mechanical heart structures introduced references to emotion, machinery, fragility, and desire.
The resulting works occupied a space between relic, costume, sculpture, and prop. Scale, silhouette, and photographic impact were prioritized throughout the design process, ensuring the objects maintained visual power both in close portraiture and large-format campaign applications.
The final pieces were photographed as part of the broader Cathedral visual campaign and featured in promotional imagery associated with the live production.
