Castle Milk Stout — Botanical Wall Installation

For a Castle Milk Stout event activation, this large-scale paper installation was designed to transform an otherwise neutral architectural surface into an immersive brand experience.

Rather than reproducing a realistic botanical scene, the installation occupied a space between nature and abstraction. Familiar leaf forms were repeated, layered, and condensed into a sculptural surface that felt both organic and architectural.

The introduction of blue and metallic gold foliage played a critical role in the visual language of the work. By assigning unexpected colors to natural forms, the installation moved beyond representation and into surrealism. The result was a landscape that felt simultaneously familiar and impossible; a botanical environment existing outside the rules of nature.

Throughout the day, changing light conditions altered the perception of the work, with shadows becoming as important as the physical forms themselves in defining the overall composition.

The installation transformed a simple backdrop into an immersive visual environment that balanced elegance, scale, and theatricality.

Its success lay in the tension between order and abundance. While constructed from a highly disciplined arrangement of repeated forms, the installation retained the visual energy of untamed growth.
